Plea Hearing.

We have pleas down to a fine art. A good plea can be the difference between jail and a good behaviour bond, or being convicted or not convicted of the offence.

Negotiate to amend the summary of facts in the police brief;

Advise you on what needs to be done to get a minimum sentence;

Attend the Plea Hearing and advocate on your behalf.
Contested Hearing.

When the prosecutor won't play ball and we advise that you have a strong case. The Magistrate will hear the evidence and decide if you are not guilty of the charges.
What we'll do:

Continue to negotiate a withdrawal of charges up to the date of the hearing;

Prepare your case - including witnesses and core evidence;

Brief a barrister to run the case;

Court attendance by instructing solicitor and barrister.

Bail Application.

If you've been remanded you need to make persuasive arguments get you released on bail.
What we'll do:

Contact the police for the remand brief and analyse it;

Attend the cells to advise you on the strength of your bail application to meet compelling reasons or exceptional circumstances;

Work with your family and other services to provide a fixed address, surety and counselling (if needed);

Intervention Order.

Initiate or defend an interim and final intervention order, including strike-out applications;
